Telangana Government Appoints B. Shivadhar Reddy as DGP (Coordination) After Dr. Jitender’s Retirement

B. Shivadhar Reddy Appointed as Telangana DGP (Coordination) and Given Full Additional Charge of DGP (HoPF)

Hyderabad, September 26, 2025 – The Government of Telangana has issued orders transferring and posting senior IPS officer B. Shivadhar Reddy (RR:1994) as the Director General of Police (Coordination), Telangana, Hyderabad.

According to G.O.Rt.No.1339 released by the General Administration (SPL.B) Department, Shivadhar Reddy, who was serving as the Director General of Police, Intelligence, will now take charge as DGP (Coordination) following the retirement of Dr. Jitender, IPS, who is superannuating from service.

In addition to this new posting, Shivadhar Reddy has also been given full additional charge of the post of Director General of Police (Head of Police Force), Telangana, until further orders.

The government notification, issued in the name of the Governor of Telangana and signed by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, directs all concerned departments and officials to take necessary action to implement the order.

This key administrative reshuffle ensures continuity in the top police leadership of Telangana as Dr. Jitender retires from active service.
