Breaking Political Buzz: Ex-Minister’s Daughter-in-law Kanjerla Vijayalakshmi Emerges as Strong Contender for Jubilee Hills By-Poll

Hyderabad:
The political heat around the Jubilee Hills by-election continues to rise, with fresh names surfacing every day. As per reliable sources, Kanjerla Vijayalakshmi, daughter-in-law of former minister Kanjerla Laxminarayana Yadav and owner of Gokul Theatre, Erragadda, is now being considered as a potential Congress candidate.

Over the past few months, Vijayalakshmi has been actively working in the Jubilee Hills constituency, strengthening her presence at the grassroots level. During the recent Ganesh festival, she made notable contributions by donating to 25 Ganesh pandals across key divisions including Borabanda, Rahmat Nagar, Vengal Rao Nagar, and Yousufguda.

In an informal interaction, she reportedly confirmed her interest in contesting the by-poll. “Yes, I am very much interested to serve the people of Jubilee Hills. If the high command gives me a chance, I will definitely contest and fight with full dedication,” she stated.

With multiple women contenders already in the fray from different parties, the entry of Kanjerla Vijayalakshmi adds another twist to what is shaping up to be a historic Mahila vs. Mahila battle in Jubilee Hills.
