Road Delayed, Voices Raised: Shakepet Residents Demand Action #Jublileehills

One Year of Neglect: Road Work in Shakepet Stalled Despite Sanctioned Funds"

Jubleehills, July 21 (Source: Namaste Telangana):

Residents of S.A. Colony in Shakepet Division are facing severe inconvenience due to the incomplete construction of a CC road connecting the area to Seven Tombs and Tolichowki. Despite the sanctioning of funds over a year ago, the work has remained stalled, raising serious concerns about administrative negligence.
The road work came to a standstill following the death of the contractor overseeing the project. Since then, no steps have been taken by the concerned authorities to resume or reassign the work, leaving the stretch half-finished and unusable.

Adding to the woes, the incomplete road has become a dumping ground for garbage, spreading a strong stench in the area and causing discomfort to both residents and motorists. The unhygienic conditions and lack of accessibility have triggered strong reactions from the local community.

Citizens have criticized the apathy of civic officials, demanding immediate action to resolve the issue and ensure the completion of the pending roadwork.

“This has gone on for too long. Funds were sanctioned, yet no progress has been made. We are forced to suffer daily due to the negligence,” a local resident remarked.

Locals are urging the authorities to respond swiftly and take necessary steps to complete the road construction without any further delay.
