Jubilee Hills Turns Into Political Flashpoint for Congress Ahead of By-Election: Internal Rifts and Police-Cadre Tensions Erupt

The Jubilee Hills constituency has become a major source of concern for the Telangana Congress party ahead of the anticipated by-election. Sources suggest that the by-election could be announced anytime soon, but internal conflicts and factionalism are already casting a shadow on the party’s prospects in the area.

In Rahmat Nagar, a key pocket within the Jubilee Hills constituency, deep-rooted groupism is threatening party unity. On one side stands the CN Reddy faction, while on the other is the Bhavani Shanker group — both vying for dominance and clashing openly, creating confusion among grassroots workers and voters alike.

The situation escalated further today after an incident involving the Borabanda Police. Congress and NSUI workers have alleged that the local Inspector, Sub-Inspector, and police staff behaved in an "improper and biased manner," worsening the already fragile atmosphere.

Disgruntled party workers expressed anger over the police’s alleged mishandling of NSUI activists and have accused the officers of favoring rival interests. Tensions reached a boiling point outside Borabanda Police Station, with Congress and NSUI members gathering in large numbers to demand accountability and respect for party cadres.

With infighting and external confrontations piling up, political analysts warn that these developments could severely affect Congress’s performance in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election unless immediate corrective steps are taken to restore unity and discipline within the party ranks.
